NE12 Sixth Form

The NE12 Sixth Form Virtual Open Evening is now live.

Arrangements for the start of term January 2022

As you may be aware the government have stated that all secondary schools should carry out on-site Covid-19 testing of all students prior to them returning to lessons in January. We will need to stagger the return of students over the first two days of term to ensure this is carried out in a safe, well-planned and effective manner, ensuring the health and safety of all students and staff.

We are trying to get all of the students back in as quickly as we can and we appreciate your understanding around this. Students will need to come into school for their lateral flow test the day before they return to school for lessons. They will only attend that day for their LFD test. We will undertake tests with Year 7, 11, 12 and 13 on Tuesday 4 January (so they can start school on Wednesday) and with Year 8, 9 and 10 on Wednesday 5 January (so they can start school on Thursday).

Please see the letter to parents and further details here.

How to use Microsoft Teams

We have put together a help page on how to access and use Teams plus some FAQs if you have technical issues.

Exam Certificates

Exam Certificates are now ready for distribution. These will be posted out to all ex students and you are not required to come into school to collect these.

If you would like your exam certificates to be posted to you via Royal Mail Tracked Service please email confirming your full Name, DOB and Postal Address.

Alternatively a sibling can collect on your behalf with a written letter of permission.
