GSHS Year 7 Deputy Young Mayor of North Tyneside

GSHS Year 7 Deputy Young Mayor of North Tyneside  As part of his role as Deputy Young Mayor of North Tyneside Daniel has been carrying out a number of duties. On Wednesday 19th June he took part in the Chairman’s Commendation Awards Ceremony at North Tyneside Council.  He read 12 nomination speeches and presented the Young Mayor Award to a student for his volunteering.   He will also be attending his second British Youth Council Conference this Saturday.  In addition, he will participate in the Soundfest Event on Saturday 30th June all of which are part of his Deputy Young Mayor duties and as member of the Young Cabinet.   Fantastic achievements I'm sure you will agree.   Well done Daniel.

We currently have the following vacancy.  Post 16 Achievement Support Co-ordinator APT&C Grade 5 (£15,830 - £17,176)  37 hours - ‘195 day’ term time only contract - 190 teaching days, 3 training days and 2 days during the Summer holidays (days to be specified by the school but will include exam results days).  We are looking for a highly skilled and confident person to join us as soon as possible, to support our Sixth Form students. The main duties of this post are to provide support and guidance to all Post-16 students.  This includes: working with subject teachers to plan and deliver intervention to improve student achievement; monitoring and improving attendance rates; providing careers guidance and support; planning and delivering the tutorial programme and creating and maintaining the positive learning environment in our Sixth Form study area.   Click [here] for the Advert, [here] for the Application Pack and [here] for the Application Form.
