Curriculum Intent

The purpose of the Careers Curriculum at GSHS is to inform and empower students in order for them to make aspirational career choices.

From the outset we encourage our students to understand their personal strengths and areas for development.  Building on this foundation students are given the tools to research a career path/s that might suit them and they are also given the time to self assess where they are now.  This acts as a strategic planning tool for skills development and self-reflection.  All students have a regular timetabled Careers lesson in Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
