ParentMail is an online service used by schools to communicate and collect payments from parents.
When you enrol your child at George Stephenson High School you will receive an email inviting you to register with ParentMail. By registering with ParentMail you give consent for information from George Stephenson High School to be sent to you.

Sims Parent App
SIMS Parent is an app (and website) that allows you to view information about your child’s attendance, achievement, behaviour and home learning. We would like to encourage you to sign up as soon as possible so you can get information about your child straight away. If you have more than one child in school, the form only has to be completed once. The form below is just for you to refer to. You can request a Digital form by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org this will be sent out via ParentMail to you.
A setup guide for SIM Parent has been put together below, however, in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation of 2018 (GDPR) we need your permission to allow us to communicate with you via email. Your email address and contact details will be kept in our secure SIMS Database and will not be shared. Once you have completed the Consent form, you will receive an email with instructions on how to sign up for SIMS Parent.
Media Consent Information
We collect your consent for Media using the Sims Parent App. Below is a link The Media Consent form for you to refer to. Please read this form thoroughly and indicate your agreement on the Sims Parent app as appropriate. You can change or withdraw your consent at any time in the Sims Parent App. We will remind you to review this consent annually.
E-Safety AND ICT Acceptable Use Policy (Students) consent form
The school operates an E-Safety and ICT Acceptable Use Policy for students; which sets the expectations upon individuals using ICT school systems.
Student and parents sign this consent form. The Acceptable use policy is also displayed when students log into a school computer.

Administration of Medication Consent Form
The administration of Medication consent form is sent via ParentMail forms to parents of students who need Medication administrated to them. Below is a copy of the Administration of Medication Consent form for you to refer to. This form is sent out via Parentmail.
Educational Visits & Trips Consent Form
As part of your son/daughter’s education he/she will be given the opportunity to go on a wide variety of visits and trips, inclusive of sports fixtures, to enhance his/her understanding and skills within different subjects.
By completing the consent form that enables us, provided that we have notified you, to allow your son/daughter to participate in visits and trips within the school day.
If the visit is a Residential or an extended day, we will need you to complete an additional form. It is your responsibility to keep us up to date of any changes to your son/daughter’s health.

The Use of Biometric Information (Cashless Catering Only) Consent Form
This form will be used for you to give your consent to the taking and using your child’s biometric information being used by George Stephenson High School as part of an automatic biometric recognition system.
This biometric information will be used by George Stephenson High School for the purpose of school’s cashless catering system only.
In signing this form, you are authorising the School to use your child’s biometric information for this purpose until he/she either leaves the School or ceases to use the system.
Please note that only one parent/carer is required to give permission for their child to use the biometric system.
If you wish to withdraw your consent at any time, this must be done so in writing and sent to the school at the following address:

Once your child ceases to use the biometric recognition system, his/her biometric information will be securely deleted by the School.
