Ofsted's Interim Assessment Of GSHS Published April 2011
Ofsted have just written to the school and our parents to give us the good news that an interim assessment has been undertaken that "indicates performance has been sustained and that we can defer the school's next inspection". The next inspection will not now take place any earlier than the summer term of 2012.
When we were last inspected by Ofsted in February 2008 we were labelled 'a good school' where 'teachers and students are exceptionally well focused on learning'. In October 2010 a Local Authority Whole School Review found us to be a "good school with outstanding features" that has undergone "significant transformation" and that the capacity for sustained and further improvement was very strong.
