GCSE Results 2011

Congratulations to our Year 11 students for achieving the best ever set of GCSE results the school has ever seen.

An outstanding 67% of our students achieved 5 or more A*-C passes including English and Maths. This is well above both the local and national averages and well above the target set for the year group. Last year we were in the top 9% of schools nationally on progress measures and we expect these results to put us even higher this year. The students have done it some style too. A third of all grades were A/A* (compared to a national average of just over 20%) and 15 of our students, over 10% of the year group, achieved 10 or more A/A* grades. They represent our best results ever and a clear improving trend. It is a testament to the hard work from our students and teaching staff. We are so very proud of all our students. They have worked very hard and deserve these excellent grades. The majority of our students are joining us in the Sixth Form next year and we would like to wish them, and all also the students leaving us, every success in the future.
