JUST the TWO of US...The Grand Final...Results...

The Grand Final of 'Just the Two of Us' took place in the packed hall of George Stephenson High School. All the acts were excellent, making it very difficult for the audience to decide which act to vote for!

The students and staff have been secretly practicing since the auditions which reduced the number of acts in the Grand Final down to sixteen. After watching all the acts the audience voted for their favourite and while the votes were being counted Mr Kain entertained the audience with a couple fantastic songs.

All the contenders were brought back on stage so that the results could be announced and then Mrs Welsh presented the prizes starting with third place: Miss Corkey and Taylor James who sang ‘Wake Me Up’, Second place: Mr McElwee and Sarah Collins who sang ‘Love Shack’ and the moment everybody was waiting for… the… winner … Mrs Anderson and Mathew Rayson who sang ‘Mamma Mia’.

Mr Leece and Kristie-Anne Riley – ‘Dancing in the Street’.

Miss McLaren and Natalie Gunn – ‘Valerie’.

Miss Milton and Hope Laverty – ‘Can’t fight the Moonlight’.

Mr Mogie and Sam Gibson – ‘Stuck in the Middle’.

Mrs Moore and Sophie Scope – ‘Breathless’.

Miss Tassiker and Rachel Hind – Play that Funky Music’.
